One Book, One Lake

The public libraries of the five towns that surround Candlewood Lake – Danbury, New Fairfield, Sherman, New Milford and Brookfield – are planning a series of events related to Bill Bryson’s A Walk in the Woods, his humorous and fascinating book about his attempt to hike the Appalachian Trail. The title was chosen since a portion of the famous trail traverses the northwest corner of Connecticut.

Join us for our kick-off event to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Candlewood Lake…
